Local SEO & Google Maps

We get you ranking where it counts — the top of Google and the local map pack — so nearby customers find you first.

The map pack is where local customers click

When someone searches "near me," Google shows three businesses on a map at the top. That 3-pack gets the calls. Getting in it — and staying there — is the highest-value thing most local businesses can do online.

  • Google Business Profile optimization — fully built out and tuned to rank
  • Local keyword & on-page SEO — pages that match what your customers actually search
  • Citations & consistency — your business info accurate everywhere it appears
  • Review strategy — a simple system for steady, genuine Google reviews
  • Monthly ranking reports — see exactly how your visibility is climbing

A realistic timeline

Local SEO compounds. Most businesses start seeing movement in 60–90 days and meaningful results within a few months. Anyone promising #1 overnight is selling smoke — we're honest about the work it takes.

What actually decides who lands in the 3-pack

Google ranks the local map on three things, and only one of them is out of your control.

Proximity — where the searcher is standing

This is the one you can't change. Someone searching from Bridgeland gets different results than someone in Katy. What you can do is make sure your service area, categories and address are set correctly so you're eligible in every neighborhood you actually cover. Most profiles we look at are leaving whole ZIP codes on the table because the service area was never filled in.

Relevance — whether Google understands what you do

Your primary category carries more weight than almost anything else on the profile. A med spa listed under "Beauty salon" is competing in the wrong race, and so is a taqueria listed under "Restaurant." Beyond the category, Google reads your services list, your description, your photos and the words inside your reviews. Every one of those is a place to be specific about what you actually do.

Prominence — how established you look

This is reviews, review recency, mentions of your business across other sites, and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere they appear. A business with 40 reviews spread over two years outranks one with 60 reviews that all arrived in a single week — Google notices patterns like that.

The mistakes we find on almost every profile

  • The address is written differently in three places. "Dr" on the website, "Drive" on Google, a typo on Facebook. Google cross-checks all of it, and mismatches quietly hold you back.
  • The primary category is too broad. "Store" instead of "Bridal shop." "Contractor" instead of "Fence contractor." You disappear from the searches that actually convert.
  • No service area set. The profile only ranks near the pin, and every surrounding neighborhood goes to someone else.
  • Reviews with no replies. Replying is a ranking signal and a trust signal, and it takes two minutes a week.
  • Photos from 2019. Profiles with recent photos get more clicks, and Google favors profiles that show signs of life.
  • The website link is broken or points somewhere old. We have found this on live, well-reviewed businesses more than once.

What we do about it, every month

Local SEO isn't a project you finish. Google re-evaluates constantly, competitors keep adding reviews, and a profile left alone slides. So the work is monthly: we keep your categories and services tuned, publish posts, keep photos current, run the review system, fix listings as they drift, and send you one page showing what moved.

We serve Cypress, Katy, Tomball, Spring and the greater Houston area — and we only take one business per industry per city, so we're never working both sides of the same search.

This is also what gets you cited by AI search

ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews, and Perplexity don't have their own database of local businesses — when someone asks them "who's the best [service] near me," they lean on the exact same signals the map pack does: a complete, accurate Google Business Profile, consistent name/address/phone everywhere, and a steady stream of real reviews. We're not selling that as a separate "AI SEO" add-on with its own price tag. It's the same monthly work above, and it's the reason to actually do it well instead of treating your profile as a one-time checkbox.
