Website Cost

How much does a website cost? An honest answer, finally

You asked a simple question. You got five different answers and no way to judge any of them.

You did what anyone would do.

You typed "how much does a website cost" into Google.

The first guide said $500. The next one said $10,000.

One of them casually mentioned $35,000.

So you closed the tab and went back to work.

Here's the thing nobody tells you: every one of those numbers is honest.

They're just not describing the same product.

It's like asking what a car costs. A used sedan and a work van are both cars.

Here's what's in this one:

  • Why the published guides disagree so wildly
  • The six things that actually move your price
  • The recurring costs nobody puts in the quote
  • What "cheap" really ends up costing you
  • What we charge, plainly, and why it's monthly

Let's go.

Why Every Answer You Found Was Different

Picture a hair salon in Cypress opening its second chair.

The owner needs a website. Three people quote her.

All three say "a website." All three mean something else.

Same question. Three different products. YOU BUILD IT You pick a template You write every word You do the SEO You fix what breaks Cheapest in dollars. Paid for in weekends. ONE-TIME BUILD Built to your brief You still supply words SEO usually extra Support ends at handoff You own a file. Upkeep is yours. ONGOING PARTNER Built, then maintained Words written for you SEO is the point Someone answers Monthly. Judged on calls, not looks.
Three quotes, three products. The price gap is mostly a difference in who does the work.

The salon owner isn't comparing prices.

She's comparing three different amounts of her own time.

That's the part the guides leave out.

The Six Things That Actually Move Your Price

Forget the ranges for a second.

Any honest quote moves on these six.

What it isWhy it changes the number
How many pagesFive pages is a weekend. Forty is a project.
Who writes the wordsThe single biggest hidden cost. Writing is the slow part.
Who takes the photosStock is free and hurts you. Real photos take a shoot.
What it has to doA brochure is cheap. Booking, payments and accounts are not.
Whether SEO is includedA site nobody finds is a very expensive business card.
What happens after launchOne-time build, or someone still there in month eight.

Look at row two again.

Most stalled website projects don't stall on design.

They stall because nobody ever wrote the words.

The Costs Nobody Puts in the Quote

The build price is the part you see.

Then the bills start.

  • The domain. Yearly. Small, but it must be in your name.
  • Hosting. Monthly or yearly, depending on who set it up.
  • Business email. Per person, per month.
  • Plugins and add-ons. Booking, forms, security. Each with its own subscription.
  • Updates. Somebody has to run them, or the site breaks quietly.
  • Changes. New price list, new hours, new service. Hourly, usually.

None of that is a scam. It's just real.

Ask for the first-year total, not the build price.

The two numbers are rarely close.

What "Cheap" Actually Costs

"My nephew builds websites."

He might do a great job. Truly.

The question isn't whether he can build it.

It's who updates it in March when he's busy with finals.

"I'll do it myself on a builder."

Sometimes that's the right call, and we'll say so.

But count the hours before you call it free.

Four weekends of your time is not free. It's the most expensive thing you own.

"The $500 guy said he'd do everything."

Ask him one question: who writes the words?

If the answer is you, that's not a $500 website.

That's a $500 template plus forty hours of yours.

What We Charge, Plainly

Our prices live on the pricing page, not behind a discovery call.

Map is $297 to set up, then $597 a month. Google Maps, your profile and reviews.

Grow is $750 to set up, then $1,200 a month. Everything in Map, plus a full website.

Dominate is $750 to set up, then $2,000 a month. For owners who want the whole map.

We're new, so the first five clients get a founding rate: $497 to set up and $497 a month, locked.

Why monthly instead of one big check?

Because a website nobody can find isn't worth building.

The site is the easy half. Getting found is the half that takes every month.

And the guarantee is ninety days. If the calls don't come, you cancel and keep the site.

Before You Ask Anyone for a Quote

Ten minutes with a notepad will save you a thousand dollars.

  • Write down what the site has to do. Get calls? Take bookings? Sell? Be specific — it's the whole quote.
  • Count your pages. One per service, plus home, about and contact. That's your real number.
  • Decide who writes the words before anyone quotes you. This is the question that changes the price most.
  • Gather what you already have. Logo, photos, price list, reviews. Missing pieces are billable hours.
  • Ask for the first-year total — build, hosting, domain, changes. Not just the build.
  • Ask who owns the domain and the files. The answer should be you. Always you.
  • Ask what happens in month six. Silence there is the most expensive answer on this page.

Do that and you'll compare quotes like someone who's done it before.

One last thing.

Before you spend a dollar, find out what you're actually missing.

We'll look at your site and your Google presence and tell you straight — what's broken, what your competitors already have, and what it would take to fix. Free, no pitch. Ask us for the audit.

Tres cotizaciones, tres productos.
